Ritestart was founded by James Duncan (President) and Darryl Edmonds (Vice-President), both former Buttcon Limited senior staff. At Buttcon, James and Darryl developed a professional relationship while working on multiple projects with unforgiving working conditions, tough schedules, intricate building requirements, and complex coordination issues, all while building and maintaining client, consultant and subtrade relationships and drawing the necessary experience to succeed in today’s challenging construction markets. Our subtrade and supplier pool is extensive and consists of reliable, qualified vendors ready to support and assist with the completion of your project.

Our construction management team currently employs six full-time employees, all of whom are qualified, professional construction individuals that will work to complete your project on time and on budget, with an aim for customer satisfaction. We desire to leave you a lasting impression of excellence when the project is complete and further fuel our growth with your references.

When it comes to managing your project, we utilize simple construction processes that effectively handle all situations to avoid costly schedule mistakes. We mirror this in our systems as well. In today’s ever-changing market and increased connectivity, our data storage is just as simple. We’ve implemented cloud-based computing to avoid in-house data storage and our data is backed-up and more secure than a stand-alone server ever could be. We also utilize contractor specific software programs for accounting, estimating and project administration.

When it comes to safety, we are registered and in the process of becoming COR certified and we have not had a workplace injury since opening our doors in 2015.

James Duncan

President, Architecture Tech, LEED AP

James had more than nine years of experience as a project manager in the ICI sector before he stepped into the role of president and co-shareholder of Ritestart Limited.

James possesses the skills, knowledge, and adaptability to lead and manage any project to its successful completion. Graduating from Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology with a degree in the Architectural Technology Program, James is a part of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologist, working as a Crestcom Bulletproof Manager Trainee and LEED Accredited Professional.

Working on more than 13 major projects, he has taken part in the completion of many multi-million dollar projects, ranging from schools to offices and hospitals. James’ technical skills include estimating, procurement, scheduling, contract management, claims preparation and negotiation, and the interpretation of contract documents and changes. James also has in-depth, on-site construction experience, including detail reviews and quality control, surveying, and quantity surveying, as well as working with a variety of software platforms and applications.


Darryl Edmonds

Vice-President, Construction

With more than a decade of experience as a site superintendent in the ICI sector, Darryl has successfully completed a variety of multi-million dollar projects. As co-owner of Ritestart Limited, Darryl prides himself on his certification of a red seal carpenter with the Local 27 Union.

Graduating from George Brown College with nearly two dozen different certifications, Darryl is exceptionally talented, possessing skills that pertain to safety, change implementation, project supervision, detailed reviews and quality control.


Jeff Jackson

Site Superintendent

Completing projects worth upward of $2 million, Jeff has more than eight years of extensive experience. His knowledge and persistence qualify him to not only allow each project to be completed on time, but his consistency results in exceptionally pleased clients, each and every time. Great with project coordinators, safety, scheduling, interpretations, and client relationships, Jackson’s 10 certificates and dozens of successful projects make him much more than just your average site superintendent and project manager.
